Just thought I'd share what I've been working on. Derrek's grandma used to quilt a lot so I thought I'd try my hand at it and make her a special one for Christmas. She seems to enjoy how I do dolls too so I made her a matching Annie. We took them to her at the nursing home this afternoon and she really seemed to enjoy them. I hope the quilt will help keep her warm this winter. I backed it with fleece so it's nice and cozy.

Just thought I'd share some pictures with you tonight. The first is my quick attempt at getting the sunset from my studio window. We were outside tonight and watched the sunset as we walked around and things. It was so beautiful with purples and pinks. Derrek always says that God is painting tonight when it looks like this. It truly did look like He had a paint brush just making strokes all over the sky. I got this quick picture as it was getting dark....so much prettier in person. The sunrise is beautiful here too. We have been very blessed to have such a view of the sunrise and sunset from our home. I remember the builders telling us that they got here before daylight most mornings so they could watch the sunrise because it was the most beautiful they'd ever seen it. The last few mornings the moon has still been out to watch as we walk around 6:30. Just so wonderful!

The Annies are a custom order I did for a special lady. She loves blues like me so it was so great to dress them up. These are from my Pepper Ann and Bitsy Ann designs which will be patterns very soon. I keep saying I will have patterns soon and I am trying very hard. Life just always seems to have other plans for me. I do have my desktop moved into my studio now and the internet up here with a booster antennae....thank goodness...so I am working on the patterns hopefully tomorrow. I will have them here just as soon as I have them ready. I will also have the new elf for the pattern club ready very soon....her name is Merry.

the two on the left are pinks and blues...the next three are for fall (a scarecrow, witch and pumpkin)...2 sets of the boy and girl Valentine's...1 boy/girl Christmas set...large blue one and small mauve one were handmade ones I bought...last one is in an additional picture below to show how to use him...MOST OF THESE ARE AROUND 17"....they could be used as is or would also be great to take the clothes off and stain the bodies for a more vintage look and wonderful smell. $36 plus shipping for these and the 4 below.

I added these 4 after the top picture...the two on the left are just like the two on the top left picture other than they were played with so they are more worn and their clothes are stretched out...the third is a ceramic piece and the last one has a wooden block inside her body to make her sit well on a shelf

this guy is in the top picture too but you couldn't see what he is used for...he is to hang on a door by his ears...he is brand new (I just took him out of the plastic bag for the pictures)...he measures about 24" long

NEW retired/very hard to find Debbie Mumm bee skeep tart burner ( use a tea light on the inside and tart in the top...I just use mine for display though...too cute displayed with a bear)...I couldn't get the top picture to come out too well with the flash but the bottom picture shows the colors much better. This is a gorgeous piece. I sold several of these a while back for around $40 each on ebay due to them being so rare. I had thought about keeping this one too but just haven't had the spot to put it so it has to go. $30 plus shipping...4" tall x 4 1/2" wide

I cut the end of my left ring finger pretty bad on our brick porch last week so I can't use my hand fully but hope to be back to listing new dolls and the patterns very soon. Who knew swatting at a bee on your leg could turn into so much trouble. I ended up stung twice and the end of my finger split open. We were able to get the painting finished though so one more thing completed for outside work before it starts getting cooler...which I hope is very soon...lol. I hope everyone is doing ok with this new storm. We're getting some rain from it but nothing like the lower states got. I pray that everyone is safe.

Just wanted to share a picture of Savannah's first day of school which was last Monday....as usual I'm late in showing it...I should have the nickname THE WHITE RABBIT...lol. The sun was glaring to the top but it turned out really pretty anyway. Her last year in middle school. Hopefully it will be a great year for her. She is in honors classes and hopes to get some credits for high school completed this year. Would be great to be ahead to possibly get some college ones done in high school. These days it's great to have an advantage on any of it you can. We are very proud of her.

I am going to have some new dolls to show later today that are all one of a kind. I have lots to finish dressing before I start on other new patterns. I am still trying to complete the Pepper Ann and bagholder patterns and will post them just as soon as they're done.

I am interested in making doll bodies and painting faces. That is something I enjoy in the doll making process and would love to give you a quote if you're interested in having that part done. Just email if you're interested and we can discuss further.

I am working on the bagholder Annie pattern and Pepper Ann. I will post as soon as I have them ready. Lots of other goodies in the work but due to me hurting my back over the past weekend I'm running behind again. I guess those old sayings of you fall apart when you turn 40 are really true. This has been a heck of a year for me having problems it seems. I just thank the Lord that none of them have been too serious...just things that needed time to heal. I'm hoping the rest of this year will be better and I can really start to make some unique one of a kind items that have been on my mind as well as continue to make my patterns. I would LOVE to get back to my exercising too but have to be careful with my shoulder. My Zumba is calling me every day...I may have to try to sneak in a little today...I really miss it....lol. I am really in love with papercrafting too so I will start selling some of my handmade cards and items very soon too.

Annie lamp...update & sneak peek

Just thought I'd share the finished project I showed the shade for last week. This past week has absolutely flown by for me with so much to do for school and all. It starts Monday and I am very close to done other than a painted canvas bag and some decorated book covers. I am hoping to finish up my August TCC pattern club doll the first of the week. I also have two patterns I'll be releasing this week. The one is the bagholder I seem to have been talking about forever and the other is the Annie below. I have lots of large wooden sleds ready for me to paint on and lots of other goodies to paint as well as LOTS of dolls ready to dress. I hope to start having lots of new goodies to see very soon. I'm in a Fall & Christmas mood as well as shabby chic so there will be lots of variety...maybe even some gingerbread and saltbox houses...oh and sheep. If I only had more hours in the day...lol. I hope you're all enjoying your summer. I have finally gotten back to a more normal routine but still have to be cautious of my shoulder as it doesn't take much to need to ice it. We have worked on my studio the past few weeks and it is finally coming along. I have wanted to do this ever since we did the sheetrock and all in there but after painting and carpet being put down I ended up piling all my craft stuff into it and boy was it A LOT! I honestly could open up my own craft store I think. I still have lots of piles to sort through but before long it will be in perfect working condition and I can create away. I am so looking forward to being able to just go up and create. I'll post some pictures once I get it in a little better shape. I've done my cabinets in a wonderful new aged look with brown and ivory that I just love. This will definitely be something I work on doing for my pieces to sell as well.

I went to the doctor again last week and they think now that it's tendinitis in my shoulder and have put me on inflammation medicine and muscle relaxers for 20 days. He said it was inflammed really bad and that was why it had spread into most of my arm and my neck. I've been trying to do things around the house some but still not up to too much crafting yet. These muscle relaxers even cut in half don't make me feel too good. I am hoping to work on my bagholder pattern and dress a bunch of other dolls too but will have to do them as I can. I sure hope this medicine will fix the problem but am not sure it is. I edited lots of auctions on ebay too over the weekend so here's the link if you'd like to check them out.

I finally have her ready...WOOHOO!!!!! My arm/shoulder is finally well enough to do some things now so I hope to start getting lots to show you over the next few days as I have lots that was already made to take pictures of. I will start listings lots of them on ebay too. I can't do everything yet but hope to get better each day. I'm still not sure what I did to it but am just so thankful that I can finally start doing my everyday things around the house and some crafts without so much pain.

I will be creating the leg template to go with the Jenny Ann TCC pattern club for April and emailing it out tonight or in the morning to current club members. I am going to start working on the pinkeep Annie for this months club and will have her ready by the 20th or hopefully a little sooner if possible. Sneak Peek...Georgia Ann

I was finally able to get the strawberry finished so here's a sneak peek at the new GEORGIA ANN pattern. I'm not 100% but am better so I'm working as I can. I ended up going to the doctor last Thursday since I couldn't take the pain anymore. They couldn't find anything wrong and just gave me 5 days of steroids to take. Well, last night was the last one so as I was afraid it's gotten a little worse today. I am hoping it will be better tomorrow but we'll see.

I have to finish typing up the instructions so I hope to get it done tomorrow. I'll post as soon as it's done and have a PayPal button. If you're interested in either doll just email. update on Georgia Ann pattern

Unforunately I don't have the Georgia Ann pattern completed yet. I had it very close but am not sure what day it will be done. I ended up with the virus that Savannah had which still isn't completely gone and then I have done something to my left arm/shoulder. It started hurting some on Saturday but Sunday it got worse and is to the point that I can't use my left arm much at all. I don't know if I've pulled or torn something but am trying to rest it. I spend most of my days and nights in my recliner since it's the only place I can get it to not hurt so much. Oh how I would love to be able to do something....it's driving me crazy. I will get Georgia Ann posted just as soon as I can finish her up. I think you will really like her...there will be two dolls in the picture...one with a strawberry and one with an A wooden block. You'll be getting templates and instructions to do both. I am also going to be adding a leg template for the TCC club pattern that I just released. I will be emailing it just as soon as I can start working again to create the new file. Saturday is the last day to renew your membership to get the free bear pattern too.

I am working on a new doll pattern that I am in love with and hope to have her picture later today or tomorrow. Her name is Georgia Ann and she has a painted face. I am thinking about offering her also with her body all finished and face painted too if anyone is interested. That way you can do her hair and clothes however you want. I will also be updating the patterns for Morgan Ann, Bitty Button Annie and Nellie Ann from the January - March TCC pattern club. I will continue to offer them in the template form for the $18 membership fee but will also have them in individual pattern form with instructions and all just like my regular patterns. Just have to find the time to type everything all up.

Hi Everyone,

Things have become really hectic lately and I'm behind again...some personal and family things (the above were items I did for my SIL for her birthday...I'll have a posting soon on the wonderful lady who made the wood for me). I apologize for the delay in my pattern club but will have it ready tomorrow with a bonus extra for the delay that I think you'll enjoy. I am also working on a special for all current members who rejoin this next quarter. I will have lots of new items coming this week as soon as I can get pictures taken. I also will have lots of craft supplies coming...plastic canvas patterns, John Deere cloth, etc.

I have one other thing that has become a problem for me that I must ask to stop. I myself may have missed giving credit on patterns and I try very hard to not do that. I have noticed it happening quite a bit with some people and some are even changing the face a little and claiming it as their own pattern. When you buy my pattern that is part of the agreement you make when purchasing it....it must state that you used a The Craftaholic Creations pattern. Claiming it as your current or older design or anything like this is misuse of my copyright. I have also noticed that some bloggers are scanning and giving away others patterns on their blog for anyone to take. I ask you all please to honor others copyrights and please give credit where it is due. I may upset some people by saying this but it just isn't fair to be doing these things and I know that deep in your heart you know it's wrong yourself. I have lost come customers because of them misusing my designs and copyrights but I know that doing the right thing is THE RIGHT THING. I am no saint but I try to do the right thing and I hope you would think no less of yourself than to do the same....BE HONEST and DO THE RIGHT THING.

Here's a custom sign I painted for Samantha of Samantha's Accessories. Her mom, Sandy of The Olde Country Cupboard emailed me asking about making it and I just loved being able to come up with something along with Samantha to make it just what she wanted. Annie is made from coffee/vanilla stained muslin with a stitched face. Her yarn hair is sewn on. She is wearing a homespun dress and bow...stained muslin bloomers. I've sewn her hands together and she is holding a wonderful prim heart. I made the heart from osnaburg, painted it and added cinnamon. There's a stained bow around it with some sweet Annie. I would be glad to add a tag with whatever saying you'd like. She can hang or sit and measures a large 31". Annie is great on an antique pie safe as pictured with Derrek's great, great grandmother's pie safe above or just sitting on a shelf, chair, etc.

I'm going to try something a little different this year. I will be making some ONE OF A KIND dolls and showing them on my blog prior to listing them on ebay or etsy. They will be available to purchase and ship immediately.

Patchwork is a ONE OF A KIND Annie with lots of detail. She is about 22" tall. She's been made from coffee/vanilla stained muslin. I've sewn on yarn hair. Her face is stitched with button eyes and a wool felt nose. Her boots are painted and sanded then lace was added to the top. Her bloomers are made from the blue floral on the bodice of her dress. I've added one of my handmade tags to her dress with Annie on it.

Operation Write Home ~ cards for our soldiers

I recently came across this wonderful site that sends handmade cards to soldiers all over the country. I just LOVE the whole idea and am planning on making lots to send to them myself. I just thought I'd let everyone know about them and hopefully some of you might be interested in helping out by making cards too. If you don't make cards you can still help out by donating money to help with postage. If you check out their site you can see how much it takes to send out all the packages so any help would be great I'm sure. I just love being able to do something for all the WONDERFUL people who serve our country. I'm sure they all really appreciate having handmade cards to send to their loved ones and I can't imagine how wonderful the recipient feels to receive something from their loved one who is so far away.

**** Introducing the TCC PATTERN CLUB ****

I've been trying to figure out how to do some patterns that don't take as long to finish. So, I've come up with a pattern of the month club. These patterns will only be available to members for at least 3 months. The patterns will only come with templates, measurements for clothes, supplies needed and a picture. I will be making a page that will have all basic instructions on it for making a doll and staining. This page will be included each month. With this club you will also receive a set of 6 free tags (my 1 1/2" rounds with your choice of word) with any tag order of $5 or more...once each month. That is a $2.40 item for free each month you place a $5 or more tag order. The patterns or dolls will not be shown on my blog each month. They will each be a surprise that only club members will receive first. Some months I will even try to throw in a little extra surprise when possible.

FACTS about club:

~ price is $18

~ membership is for 3 months with each payment to save on fees so I can make the price low

~ you can start at any time of the 3 month period and will receive all patterns to that point if you're later into the 3 month subscription

~ pattern will be emailed on the 20th of each month

LOTS of goodies added on ebay last night. They had a special through last Friday so I listed all my auctions. I will continue editing with new items and all throughout today so be sure to check back later too. There are LOTS of painted items and dolls. A link is at the bottom of this post.

I have extra ones of the photo album so if you'd like to just purchase one through me it will be $10 plus shipping. I will personalize the top area and can add a personalized year or name tag on the bow. There are 3 extras and these will be all I will have so be sure to get one if you like it.

Candles....I will be painting more of the 3" candles so just email if you'd like to custom order some with an Annie, gingerbread, bear, bunny, or whatever painted on it. They will be $10 each. I don't have but a couple more of the metal candle pans so I will start including a stained doily with the others. I'll have a picture of that soon.

Here's what we woke up to this morning...more snow than we've ever had here. We've had more snow in the past two years than all of the other years in our 20 years being married. It is beautiful today but the sleet is coming behind it so it won't last long I'm afraid. I hate sleet and freezing rain and am hoping we won't lose power from it. I just wanted to give an update on the new patterns. I'm still recovering from whatever wicked virus I got but hope that I've turned the corner on it. I can't do much each day but am progressing along to get some done. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy....lol. Something with this virus just absolutely wipes your energy out. I guess it didn't help that I worked almost non stop until Christmas Eve (3 a.m.) trying to finish gifts though before I got sick that night. I already have plans for this years birthday and Christmas gifts so I'll start working on them some each week as soon as I'm better. I am determined to not be behind on everything this year.

I have so many plans for things but don't know how many will be made but I will have lots of Valentine's very soon. I am wanting to offer more variety this year as well as more customized items. I also want to do more detailed one of a kind items. I have mohair on hand with ideas for little bears and elephants (would love a source in the US for buying this if anyone knows one)......custom painted wooden signs for outside...customized mailboxes...lots and lots of paper projects to do and design (scrapbooks for you to add pictures too, cards, gift sets, etc.)...new doll patterns already sketched out....new sketches for painting as well as lots of older patterns from other designers that I want to paint...LOTS AND LOTS of things to paint on and use up this year. I will be more organized and get my stash reduced. I have got to stop hoarding so many things and use them as I had intended. I have lots of ideas for things and hope to have lots and lots of variety.

If there are things you're looking for from me I'd love for you to leave a comment here. I will try my best to see what I can do and I am hoping to work on some doll patterns from dolls I did last year that some have requested. I want to do more saltbox items, sheep, bears, little girls, gingerbread, etc.

I wish you all the best in this new year and I hope you'll continue to keep an eye out for my new things. I should have the snowman pattern ready in the next day or two and possibly the Annie and teddy ones too.

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Christmas!!!! I just wanted to let everyone know that the patterns are all ready to email or mail out now. I have been sick and haven't been able to do much of anything but finally got things all finished up this morning. I am offering a FREE Valentine stitchery heart for all pattern orders placed through January 31st. It was going to be a January special but with this delay I wanted to go ahead and start the special. It's a large heart that will be great with dolls, hanging, as a pillow or sitting inside an old bed spring as a pin keep. UPDATES and toys for sale

Just wanted to give some updates on things going on...

I have added lots of toys to the TOYS FOR SALE page at the top of the blog (under the banner). I will be glad to ship by USPS parcel or priority mail and UPS ground. I can only ship on Mondays for UPS though since I have to go to their store...USPS goes out Monday through Saturday. I am happy to combine any items to ship together to save money. Most of these items are in like new condition and some are even new. If you have any questions on anything just email me below at the link and put what you're interested in the subject line so I'll know what you're emailing about. I will also have lots of clothes groupings for sale soon too.

Also, on patterns...I am NO LONGER SELLING TO SPAIN. I have had various issues with people buying my patterns to trade with others and this is NOT ALLOWED since I own the copyright on my designs and I have not given permission to anyone to trade my patterns. I've been asked about other things with my patterns as well so I'll go ahead and put that information here too. I want anyone buying my patterns to be able to make dolls to sell them. I just ask that you give me credit as the designer and that you don't mass produce them. I don't allow anyone to make kits or do classes with my patterns either unless they have contacted me to work out an arrangement of them using the patterns in this way. I would be glad to give a price break on patterns if you are doing classes or kits or something so that those people can legally have the pattern as well. If you ever have any questions about my patterns please just email and I'll be glad to get back to you on them. I LOVE making dolls and it is so wonderful to have others love to make them as well so it is really sad to see those who do take advantage of it.

I will be adding some doll groupings tomorrow or Monday for some Annies and bunnies at low prices...these will be one time only and once they're sold they are gone...just need to clear up some space in my work area so it won't be something I do often.

I was finally able to get my Suzie Ann finished up and get her picture. She is 11" or so tall and super easy to make. The PayPal button is on the side to purchase the pattern. I am having a sale on all my current e-patterns....$6.75 each. I will continue the sale until I start the release of my new ones...hopefully tomorrow. Things have been very crazy here with some health problems, neighbor issues, Savannah had an ear infection and just life in general. I am hoping that these are all behind us and I can devote more time to my new creations and start some new ventures that I've been anxious to try. I'll post here as soon as I have the first pattern ready and the sale will end at that time so if you want any at this price be sure to get them soon. I will have a PayPal button on the side that has e-pattern sale $6.75. Just thought I'd update a new picture of our little man...isn't he ADORABLE!!!! He is 5 months now and I'm guessing around 60 lbs....not sure how big he will be as he hasn't grown into his big feet yet...YIKES!!! He is really smart and getting better with his behavior but wants to dig a lot lately....those big feet can do some damage that's for sure. You can see some dirt on his mouth in this picture because I had just caught him digging in my flower beds. I knocked on the door and he came part of the way up the steps to the porch with that "what...I didn't do anything" look. I wish I could have gotten a picture of that because it was really cute and you could see the holes in the background behind him. He has some very unusual things he does too that I've never seen in a dog before. I think he thinks he is human...lol. He likes to sit in one of the wrought iron chairs on the porch like a person...very funny to see...I'll have to try to get a picture of that one. He likes to put his rawhide in the chair too and chew on it with only his back feet on the ground....kind of like someone wanting to prop up at a table or bar top. He is very comfortable standing on his back feet only and he jumps up, puts his feet on something (a table or shelf) and walks around things like that. He has become very balanced lately doing it and can even walk around a table like that. He loves to jump up in my lap when I sit down too and just stay there with his back feet on the ground. He comes at me to start with almost with his front legs open like he is trying to hug me or something and then stays in my arms like that for a little while...until he starts wanting to chew on me...I must taste good to him because that has been a favorite thing to do for the past 3 months. He tries to catch things with his front legs too and even uses his front paws almost like hands...it's like they seperate for fingers to work on things he is chewing on. Lots of excitement around with MACaroni for sure!!!! We really enjoy having him in our family and I look forward to lots of fun times with him....
